Today, on Saturday the fourteenth of December, we are experiencing our first Indiana winter storm. When I was first told of its coming, I was more than a little incredulous; after all, we’d been warned before and nothing much had happened. But just in case, I stocked up on the necessities. Then the snow melted. When we went to bed, you could clearly see the grass in the yard. Our neighbour on the other side of the treeline was ploughing his field. I half expected our weeds to come back to life. This morning, we woke up to this:
It might be time to move the squirrel feeder closer to the squirrels as they are too stupid to come and raid the bird feeder… the pups enjoyed a good romp around the yard, and I thought it would be a good idea to have some festive pancakes for the occasion.
I think this is the perfect weekend to enjoy the comforts of home!
